At the end of May 2019, Orchard Medical Practice will be taking over the management of Dr Solway and Mallick Practice.
This means that both practices will use the same reception desk located the front entrance of the building and staff from both practices will be able to book appointments and access information related to patients registered with both practices.
Whilst things might look a little different at reception, this will not change your ability to book appointments and see your doctor in the usual way.
Staff from both practices are trained in maintaining confidentiality and will work together to ensure that your health record remains secure and will still only be accessed by or shared with staff that need it for your care

Improving access to general practice: evening and weekend appointments now available
Patients who are registered at this practice can now book an appointment to see a GP or nurse on weekday evenings (after 6.30pm) or at the weekends (on Saturday and Sunday). Appointments will either take place at this practice or at another NHS setting nearby [NB: practices should amend to reflect local arrangements]. Talk to the practice receptionist to find out more or book an appointment.
By March 2019 everyone in England will benefit from access to general practice appointments in the evenings and weekends at a time that is most convenient to them. SystmOnline - Book your GP appointments, request repeat medication and update your contact details from home using SystmOnline. This service is open to all ages.
Accessing your medical record – Patients are now able to view on line, export or print any summary information from their medical record e.g. medications, allergies, adverse reactions.
SystmOnline is also available on leading smartphones and tablets.
Suffolk Wellbeing Service
What help does Suffolk Wellbeing Service offer?
The Wellbeing Service is a partnership of NHS, voluntary and charitable organisations in Suffolk. They enable you to experience improved emotional wellbeing and recover quickly from emotional health problems such as low mood, stress and anxiety.
The Suffolk Wellbeing Service offers workshops and brief therapy groups, guided self-help, peer support and friendship schemes, interactive computer-based therapy, telephone support, one-to-one support and access to other specialist services.
How do I get help from the Wellbeing service?
You can self-refer to the service. You don't have to speak to a GP first. You can fill out a referral form at www.readytochange.org.uk or you call 0300 123 1781 to speak to a member of the team.

Each GP surgery has a clinical link worker. They are mental health specialists and have a great deal of knowledge about mental health care and the resources available locally to assist your mental health & wellbeing. This might be particularly helpful if you are not sure about the best way forward for you. You can access this service if you over 18. You can self-refer to your link worker via your GP appointment booking system or your GP can refer you.
