There are various ways of ordering repeat prescriptions:
- Using the tear off strip and post or drop the request into the surgery, if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed we will post back.
- On-line ordering service via the link at the top of this page; please ask at reception for further information.
Please note we no longer take requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone.
A pharmacy of your choice will discuss the possibility of ordering your drugs for you to collect from them or in some cases they will deliver to your door.
If you have an I-phone there is an App available which works with our clinical system ‘SystmOnline’.
Please allow 72 hours for your prescription to be processed.
Most of your regularly used medications will be prescribed for three-months at a time. If you feel that you need a medication that is not on your repeat slip please make an appointment, or book a telephone consultation with a doctor to discuss this. A pharmacist is working with us overseeing the repeat prescribing system and may talk directly to patients about their medication. Our pharmacist will help you if you find your medication is running out at different times – she will synchronise everything to help to make your reordering easier and less time consuming for you.
Ipswich and East Suffolk Care Commissioning Group recommends that some medications available over the counter should not be prescribed; i.e. antihistamine.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
